I’m very honored to have Charisma’s online magazine, Spirit Led Woman, print an excerpt from my book.

The excerpt, called Snake in the Bedroom is from the chapter titled Snake in the Grass. It was an incident that happened when I was 11 and followed me for many years, fueling my perceived need for protection. I translated this into extreme weight gain.

I’m not blaming this incident on weight gain, however, I do know abuse of any sort, physical, sexual or emotional, can be a reason for emotional eating and weight gain. It’s not logical, but then neither is compulsive overeating.

Here’s an excerpt from the excerpt: In my mind, I pictured Grandma’s reaction when she encountered a Copperhead on the path to the creek. She froze. It was her reaction to danger. Following suit, I became a statue. Inside I prayed, “Help me, Jesus. Help me, Jesus. Help me, Jesus.”

Pop over and read the entire excerpt HERE.

If you haven’t ordered your copy of Sweet Grace you can do that at the top of the website or by grabbing it from Amazon HERE. They keep raising the price. I noticed it was $12.50 this morning and only $11.50 last night. Retail there is $14.99. So get yours today.

Doing a happy dance this morning! Praying my story touches many hearts and lives.
